LA GETS UNPLUGGED FOR ACOUSTIC LIVE

(Los Angeles, CA) Musicians and artists unplug for the LAmusicScene.com’s Acoustic Live.™ contest in Los Angeles. Music industry A&R, Entertainment Lawyers, Music Managers, and Supervisors will gather at the annual event to scout the nation's most promising acoustic acts and songwriters. The eight-week long competition is being held at The Westwood Brewing Company (1091 Glendon Ave., Westwood, CA). Acoustic Live runs on Sundays from September 21 through November 2. Finals are scheduled for November 9 where advancing artists will showcase their music and compete for prizes provided by Acoustic Live sponsors.

TLAMS Entertainment Services, an artist management and development company, will present 42 unsigned acoustic acts looking to showcase their music and win prizes. Judging is based on categories such as; songwriting, originality, musicianship and performance -- not on crowd participation or artist draw.

Some of the judges this year include Rami Jaffee, of the Wallflowers; Loren Israel, A&R, Capitol Records; Taki Pappas, Clear Channel Entertainment Buyer and Tour coordinator; Mike Moore, Music Connection Magazine, Nightlife Editor; and James Momille, A&R Geffen. For a full list of judges visit the website, www.acousticlive.net.

Acoustic Live creators Seth Schwartz and Laurie Hanes received rave reviews last year from industry leaders; such as Bernard Baur, one of last years judges and Review Editor, Music Connection; A&R, Tonos.com.

“…As both a fan and a judge, I was impressed with the organization of the promoters. Major props to them—And a heartfelt hope that Acoustic Live becomes an enduring tradition in the music scene,” said Bauer

This year's prizes include: a Larrivee Acoustic Guitar, a 6-song EP from 144 Studios with Jeff Gross, 1,000 packaged CDs by HI-FI Media Replicators, Audix Microphones, inclusion on a Radio Express radio compilation, a 1-yearsubscription to TAXI, a 1-year subscription to TONOS, a 1-year subscription to Sonicbids, a 1-year subscription to DIY Reporter, a 1-year supply of EverlyGuitar Strings and more.
